(i) End DV: Talk to Me
Nov 2019
Casa Raudha put together a focus of professional women who joined our discussion about what the community can do to prevent domestic violence. 50 women from all walks of life participated in this focus group discussion. From the discussion, there were recommendations being put forth to call for community action.
The focus group discussion was graced by then SPS Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).
(ii) End DV: Starts with Me
Jul 2020
During the Circuit Breaker (CB) period, there were concerns as to how families were coping behind “closed doors.” Many families felt “trapped” at home, having to juggle between work, home, personal commitments and on top of that, due to COVID-19, some have lost jobs and/or experienced pay cuts.
Thus, Casa Raudha worked with partners in heightening awareness through online platforms such as FB, podcasts, radio, videos, webinars. To empower the community bystanders, neighbors, friends, and families, to step up and become an upstander to help save a life.
(iii) End DV: Work with Me
Sept 2020
In conjunction with Yayasan Mendaki “Raikan Ilmu 2020”, the production of this video was made by our youth’s volunteers, for youths.
The main objective was to bring awareness on the importance of cultivating respectful relationships.
(iv) End DV: Walk with Me
Nov 2020
This community event calls for everyone to take a step forward together to say “NO” to domestic violence.
Adhering to the safety management measure, participants did their walk at their own time, their own target at the designated parks of their choice. The Walkathon was launched by our Patron, Minister Indranee Rajah on the morning of 21 November 2020 at Jurong Lake Gardens.
The walkathon received an exceptional turnout of supporters from our community partners and public. The event aims to raise awareness of domestic violence, promote positive social behaviours, and create a conducive and nurturing society.
The walkathon marks the end of Casa Raudha’s one – year domestic violence campaign.
