End Domestic Violence; Work With Me – Muslim Men’s Perspective

September 02, 2020

On 19th September 2020, Casa Raudha had partnered with the Assyakirin Mosque to form a focus group discussion with 50 men on the issues of domestic violence. It was the first time such a meeting was held to discuss this delicate subject.

While women have always been on the front to be the voices on matters that relate to women and children, the meeting of these men is timely and welcoming as it reflects that combating violence is not a gender-based fight but a shared responsibility and that men have a part in co-creating solutions to end domestic violence. The discussion was focused on forming a framework and a call for action for the community to help families who are experiencing violence.
